Julie Hill

The path to healing comes from within.  

Our thoughts, movement and breath truly define our  health and lives.  

 

A new pathway opened up for me when I began practicing yoga.  I immediately fell in love with it.  My life was busy, babies at home, working, exercise, etc.  Yoga brought me balance.  It was so noticeable that my husband encouraged me to teach it.  The idea of sharing yoga and all of its benefits with others has become my passion.  

 

The physical benefits were fantastic.  My balance improved, I increased muscle tone and awareness and gained more flexibility.  The transformation in my body was incredible, still it didn’t compare to the shifts I realized in the rest of my life.  

 

I felt calmer and grounded after my practice.  This began to carry over in how I interacted with my children, family and friends.  I began to realize that true balance comes from within.  Our thoughts and the stories we tell ourselves actually shape our lives.  Yoga empowers me as a person.    

 

I have been blessed with opportunities to teach yoga to a variety of students over the years, from advanced to beginner yogis, athletes, seniors, disabled as well as people with pain.  My students inspire me to continue growing as a teacher.  I expanded my training into Therapeutic Yoga.  I now teach clients how to find purer movement, eliminating pain and letting go of tension.  Our body sends us messages and when we learn to listen we find balance and ease.

Julie has a strong background in athleticism, completing a number of triathlons, half marathons and century bike rides.  Trained in martial arts and kick boxing.  She is a lover of the outdoors and mountain sports.
