Breathe ~ a functional breathing class series – In-person or Zoom

Tap into the healing power of your breath with Julie Hill, a certified Buteyko breathing coach.

Functional breathing is effortless and silent, with little to no movement in your chest. You will sleep well and recover quickly from stressful events. How we breathe impacts every system in our body. Dysfunctional breathing causes the nervous system to stay stressed, bringing disease. Gain an understanding of basic mechanical and chemical aspects of your breathing. Classes progress each week, providing you time to explore and integrate practices.

This is a 4-class series.

“I didn’t realize how often I held my breath” ~ Pat

“I went from sleeping 3 hours to 7 hours a night!” ~ Trudy

“Julie teaches different tools to improve your breathing.” ~ Susan

Sound, Breath, & Meditation Class – In-person or Zoom

Join Julie in combing three modalities to balance your energy. Move through simple yet effective practices to support and balance your body, mind, and life. Bring a mat and spread out as you absorb the healing vibrations of the singing bowls, play with breathing practices, and release into meditation. You'll gain a greater sense of harmony, balance, and deep healing within. All three modalities are transformational and a powerful way to access your body’s innate intelligence to balance and heal itself.

Connect, Reflect & Thrive – Email

Come and dive deeper into the philosophy and mindful practices of yoga. This program dives deep into the first 2 limbs of sage Patanjali’s 8 limb path. We will use Deborah Adele’s book The Yamas & Niyamas Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practices. This 10-week program will lead us on a modern-day exploration of our thoughts, attitudes, and actions from a yogic perspective. Each week you'll receive a video with discussion topics from the chapter to reflect on as well as a restorative yoga posture to explore. Reflections can be shared via email to the group or kept in your personal journal.

Book purchased independently ($12 Amazon) The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice, paperback

Video Classes, Hatha & Yoga Therapy - Email

This series includes 10 videos. Six videos are full hour classes (1 traditional Hatha & 5 therapeutic) that explore how the body parts move in relation to each other and how efficient that movement is. You will heighten your somatic awareness for movement patterns that bring strain or tension. The classes also encourage mindful movement and staying connected to your breath. It is recommended to move through each class 3 to 4 times. Enjoy four additional video explorations, including a release for the feet, a hip movement exploration, and two meditations. The library is accessible for 3 months. After registering you'll receive a link to access the library at your convenience. You can practice with the videos as many times as you like within that time. I'll be available to answer questions about the practices via email too.
